Date:
  August 15 - September 16, 2023

Registration Deadline:

The 2023 NCSAA Cross-Country Championships is open to both high school and junior-high cross-country teams (or even schools that don't have a team, but would like to put together a group of runners to compete in this event).  Teams from any region of the country are welcome to participate!

Your teams can compete in one of two different formats (but ALL teams will be competing against one another in the overall standings):

* National - You don't need to travel to our location to participate.  You'll run at your own course, and we'll give you instructions about how to accurately time your runners (using our app), and your runners will compete against all of the other runners from other schools across the country!  Your athletes can complete their runs anytime between August 15 and September 15.  (Your runners will be eligible for all team and individual awards.  There is no disadvantage to participating from your own location.)

* Local - If it's easier and more enjoyable for you, we welcome you to come to run on-site at our local race -- on Saturday, September 16 (in Beaver Falls, PA, at 9:00 AM).  You are NOT required to attend on-site (you can use the National option above)...but you're welcome to join the schools that choose to attend on-site and receive a certified time (without having to use the app and submit your times).  We'll be running through a beautiful course at Brady's Run Park in Beaver Falls, and we'd love to have you join us here!  (You'll also get to take advantage of post-race refreshments and an on-site awards ceremony.)

Register soon in order to be sure to claim a spot!

The final registration deadline is September 13, 2023...but you will likely want to register much earlier in order to give your team more time to complete the event!

Basic Meet Information:

Meet Description:

  • The NCSAA Cross-Country Championships offers a high-value competitive and team-building experience for your high school and junior-high cross-country teams...in a unique format that does not require you to travel to a particular site in order to participate.  (There is an option to compete on-site on September 16, if you choose to do so, but any school from any area of the country can compete from their own location!)
  • Age Eligibility: A student-athlete shall be ineligible for participation upon attaining the age of nineteen years, with the following exception: if the age of 19 is attained on or after July 1, the student-athlete shall be eligible, age-wise, to compete through that school year.

Meet Format:

  • The NCSAA Cross-Country Championships is open to Christian and private schools from any region of the country.
  • Your teams can compete in one of two different formats (but ALL teams will be competing against one another in the overall standings):

  • Homeschool teams and athletes are also welcome to participate.
  • Boys and girls in grades 9-12 are eligible to compete in the High School Division, and boys and girls in grades 5-8 are eligible to compete in the Junior-High Division.
  • Boys' and girls' teams will be scored separately -- in four divisions (High School Boys, High School Girls, Junior High Boys, Junior High Girls).  We are also considering classifications for large schools and small schools for the purpose of overall team awards, pending the number of teams that register.

Closing Ceremony and Awards:

  • Team awards will be presented to the top three teams in each division.  (Team scoring will be according to typical cross-country format -- each runner will receive points equal to his / her finish in the race.  The five top finishers for your team will score, and the lowest score will win.)
  • Individual awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each division.

Beneficial Exposure for Your Athletes:

  • Results from the NCSAA Cross-Country Championships are published to the attention of college coaches nationwide.  This presents your athletes with an opportunity to be seen by college coaches, scouts, and recruiters.

Location:

YOUR LOCATION OF CHOOSING
(You can use any 3.1-mile course, and you'll use our app to record and submit your times.  It's very simple.  We'll give you instructions after you register and the race date draws nearer.)

The on-site race (if you choose to attend on September 16) will be held at:

Brady's Run Park
505 Constitution Boulevard
Beaver Falls, PA  15010

Team Registration Fee (this covers ALL of your school's HS and JH teams):

$50 for teams competing nationally (not on-site)
$100 for teams competing locally (on-site in Beaver Falls on September 16)

Your registration fee is non-refundable, except in the case of the cancellation of the event.

All teams are expected to pay their full registration fees as soon as possible upon registration.  Any exceptions to this rule must be discussed with and approved by NCSAA.  If you have any questions regarding this procedure, please contact us ASAP.

Withdrawals:

We understand that occasionally there may be reason for a team to withdraw from the event, after having already registered. If any team must withdraw after already registering for the event, that team still will be expected to honor its commitment to pay the full team registration fees. NCSAA must budget based on the number of registered teams, and all fees for all registered spots are critical in order to plan for and conduct a successful event. Thanks for your understanding of this!
